The Pig’s Pen

We got the pigs (6 of them) when they were all pretty small. They’ve grown really fast along with their appetite. The biggest one, we named it “Miss Piggy”, she is very mean, and the smallest one we call Sausage, and he is our favorite.

Everyone always complains about the smell because it is bad. We feed them scraps from the kitchen along with some grain, but they still dig around in their pen in search of food. They have brought the phrase “your room looks like a pig pen”, to a whole new level.

After it rains their pen looks like just a pool of mud and they don’t look pink one bit. Slowly they become cleaner by laying in their water trough. I guess that’s why they call them “Pigs”.
