"Pepperoni or sausage?" That is the question. When it comes to pizza, everyone has their favorite toppings. Recently at ABM, we had the opportunity to create our own pizza. Several meats and vegetables were laid out at each table for students to top their pizzas with. After being topped they were placed in the oven to bake. However, there was one requirement; to identify each student's pizza, their initials had to be placed somewhere on the pizza. It was funny to see the creative ways that was accomplished - by tearing pepperoni slices or arranging sausages and other things like that.

Monopoly Logo

For the 4th of July, we had a Monopoly tournament at ABM.  To start, we set up five games; the winner  of each went on to a championship game in hopes of receiving a sweet surprise.

Volleyball Contest

The arrival of steamy summer means many great things to ABM’s students! These include trips to the cool, refreshing river; cooking out on the grill, and a four-day school week; but most importantly,

Football

In honor of the 4th of July, we decided to do something All-American; and what’s more American than a classic game of tag football?

Gideon's Bible

The “Gideon’s” recently came to visit the students at ABM Ministries.  We learned that the organization began with two traveling Christian businessmen, Samuel E. Hill and John H. Nicholson, in 1898, who had forgotten their Bibles at home. During their devotion that evening, a vision came to them.

Joshua and the Godzilla Burger
Thursday, June 9th, 2011

A few weeks ago we had the Godzilla stuffing, belly busting burgers. There was a bun the size of a giant Pizza Hut bread bowl, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, onions, mustard and ketchup, and of course the biggest handmade burger patty I have ever laid eyes on. It was so much food, I was surprised I finished it all. I felt like I was that Burger King dude with small hands, that's how big it was. Good eats in Piedmont, Missouri at A.B.M Ministries.

Dan This week we have no school here at ABM Ministries. We go outside every day on interesting work projects or to play sports. Sometimes, we might even get to go swimming at the lake. We have cookouts and play with the puppies. We have more time for reading our books and playing games in the evenings. All in all, everyone has a good time. Spring break 2011!

While sleeping in Thanksgiving Morning, students at ABM could smell the delicious aroma of Mrs. Beth's famous sticky buns wafting through the air. However, nothing could compare to its delectably sweet taste coupled with the warm soothing flavor of cappuccino. With sticky fingers and happy hearts, the day was off to a great start. However, even better was immense  anticipation of the food that was still to come.

At A.B.M, the end of summer marked the beginning of a great weekend.

Saturday, the day was spent mostly inside enjoying the benefits of air conditioning. Students dueled it out in battles of epic proportions playing Risk and Call of Duty. All in all, it was an excellent day. Yet it could not measure up to what was to come.

This past Sunday night the boys were gathered in front of the tv to watch the NBA Finals. Mrs Carmen provided lots of good food for them to munch on while they watched the game. Some of the Celtics fans wore green shirts to show their team spirit! We could tell they enjoyed cheering for their favorite team by all the noise they made!

ABM Idol: Nick singing
Tuesday, April 13th, 2010

The past few weeks have been exciting for our students. It was announced about two weeks ago that we would be having an ABM Idol contest. The winner of the contest would receive a big prize. ABM Idol is just like American Idol, in our version Mr. Dustin played Ryan Seacrest and our three judges were Mr. Larry, Dessa Goodman and the one and only, Mrs. Carmen. We had ten contestants, Austin L, Bryce, A.J, Nick, Connor C, Jordan, Demetrius, Paulina, Connor T, and Cody.  The other students got to vote for their favorite contestant but in the end, the judge's decision was final. All of our contestants did really well, but the bottom five were eliminated. The top five, Jordan, Bryce, A.J., Connor C, and Connor T, will be moving on to the next round.

Singing with Mr. and Mrs. Kardatzke was beyond the best experience I have ever had at ABM. I consider it an honor to sing with two such amazing people. They taught me a lot, they taught me the importance of singing and how to stay in key with the section we have. Now I'm just an amateur but when it came to listening to Mrs. Kardatzke sing, oh my gosh she blew me away! She has an amazing voice and like I said before, it's an honor to sing with such amazing people.

This Past Month Mr. Reed and Mrs. Beth had the chance to go see the fruit of the Academy's work and student's growth when they saw Jonathan Ritzo's graduation in San Antonio Texas.

Jonathan Ritzo has just graduated Basic Training  from the United States Air Force .

Now this is no means a small feat. Anyone who knows anything about the Services knows that Basic is where they break you or make you!

Needless to say Jonathan made it through with almost all flying colors.
