ABM Lighthouse Christian Academy has given me a lot of opportunities. Coming from the worst part of east Dayton, Ohio was hard. For years, school has been hard for me. I was in fifth grade when my mom died, and I started to care less about school. I made some really bad choices. One of the worst mistakes I have ever made was giving grief to my granny after she took me into her home. I realize now that she has sacrificed a lot for me. Keeping that in mind, I pushed myself to get my school work done. When I came here to the academy, I had to catch up on my school. I was held back in six and seventh grade. Now I’m almost done with tenth grade and I have a 3.0 GPA. Even though I do not say it enough, I owe it all to my granny because she never gave up on me.
